VISION OF DIET

MISSION OF DIET

To provide academic & resource support at the grass-roots level for the success of various strategies & programs being undertaken in areas of alimentary & adult education.

TRANSACTIONAL PHILOSOPHY OF DIET

To conduct Induction & Refreshers trainings
Resource support- In development of materials, evaluation, guidance & extension.
Action Research.

District Institute of Education and Training was established at the district level for the improvement in quality of primary education and to support the teacher of elementary education under the National Educational Policy 1986.

Previously, this institute DIET was known as BTI functioning for training of teachers related to basic teaching trainings.

Objectives -

To conduct In-service teacher training and organize workshops for primary and middle school teachers. To develop awareness for new methods & techniques of teaching.
To provide upgraded content and guidance to teachers and act as a resource centers for teachers.
Preparation of tools for evaluation and question paper preparation.
To prepare action researches on problems of teachers in their field (On Job Training).
To organize regular classes for D.Ed. two year certificate course.

To ensure functioning of the above stated objectives there are various faculties in the institute.

In this faculty pre service trainees are trained for D.Ed. regular, D.Ed. correspondence and D.El.Ed. (Ignou) course is conducted.

Curriculum and Material Development Evaluation (CAMDE)

In this faculty, Desk analysis of textbooks, teaching learning material development for class 1 to 8, writing scripts, video lesson and radio lesson etc. are made for capacity building of pre service and in-service trainees.

Result Analysis of primary and middle examination on which includes local and board exams. Question paper and answer sheet analysis of board examination. Comparative result analysis of classes 1 to 8 tri-monthly, six monthly and annual examinations is the main functions of this branch.

Development of Psychology Lab	Various tools of psychology were purchased and they were executed during the teacher training programmes and their results are compiled.
Development of Mobile Library	Various content related concepts of classes 1 to 8th are prepared on the flex boards and some of them are painted on the walls of corridor of DIETs. Development of green boards in the campus promotes teachers to write various quotations and worth while for their presentations.
Development of Language Lab	Some oil based charts are painted on the DIET walls exposing linguistic phenomena and concepts of Hindi and English language.
Development of Mathematics Corner	Many concepts of maths is presented in class rooms by mathematics kit provided by NCERT. On local level Maths kit is developed by the experts on concepts of Algebra, Geomatry and Airthmetics.

Child With Special Needs (CWSN)

This faculty organizes 05 days training for teachers and 03 days training for administration of education department organized in field of inclusive education. Teachers after training teach students with special needs considering their needs and problems. So that these children may be connected to the main stream of the society. Rajya Shiksha Kendra Bhopal makes from time to time capacity building of DIET faculty member.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

In this faculty computer lab is there to impart knowledge of educational technology. Computers are used in favor of Institute of various functions as Data Collection, Analysis of Data, Reporting Writing, Research Reporting, To create presentation of various training programmed and workshops, Data Base Preparation, D.Ed. regular admission process, Operation Quality and all office works. Also used for Annual Work Plan preparation.

In this faculty this faculty also conducts Teleconferencing for various department and radio lessons.

Research

Long and short-term researches are carried out for educational problems of students and teachers.

Concept

Research is base for ensuring quality in education. It helps in evaluating and analyzing the interventions planned and being implemented so that improvements can be made to achieve desired outcomes. Findings of research work are being used to formulate strategies for our future plans. At district level research is being done to improve the strategy on the basis of major findings of previous years research work. This year focus will be or improving inputs for attendance and quality. Districts will work under the guidance of CTES and IASE.
